Who comes to Beyond Retreat?

Our guests come from all backgrounds, ages, fitness levels and from different countries across the globe. They join us for a variety of reasons - to lose weight, improve their fitness level, improve their health or simply just to get away from their everyday routine. Women just like you have decided to take some quality 'me time' and challenge hemselves to regain control of their health and well-being.

Is Beyond Retreat conducive to guests travelling alone?

Very much so. A good proportion of our guest travel on their own. Our cummuntiy driven enviroment make Beyond Retreat a great place to make new friends, or just relish in your own personal space. If there is one thing you can be sure of, you might arrive at Beyond Retreat alone but your journey will not be a lonely one.

Is there a minimum age to attend a retreat?

Guest at the retreat must 18 years of age and above. There is no maximum age.

Are electronic devices allowed at the retreat?

In order to create an environment conducive to well-being, it is requested that movile phones, iPads, tablets, smartphones and personal computers be used solely in guest bedrooms. Electronic devices are not permitted in any shared or outdoor spaces, and furthermore, photography is not allowed at the retreat in order to protect the privacy of our guest and their personal space.

Is alcohol and smoking permitted?

Depending on your chosen programmed, our selection of alcohol is limiited to wine which is only available at dinner time, on a chargeable basis. Guests on specific detoxes or if advised by their wellness consultant must refrain from drinking alcohol at he retreat. Smoking (this also applies to electrnic cigarettes) is restricted to a single designated outdoor space and is not permitted in guest rooms, shared spaces or any other outdoor space.

I have a health condition and take medication, can I bring this with me?

If you have any doubts about your health please check with your medical proactitioner before booking. We also request that you inform us of any health challenges (including physical limitations) at the time of booking your retreat, including any medication that you may be taking. Customs advise anyone travelling with prescription medication to make sure they have a copy of the doctor's prescription which covers the medication and quantity carried. If you are taking prescription medications for any reason, please ensure you bring enough supplies with you to continue treatment for the full duration of your retreat.

What should I pack to bring with me?

After your booking has been confirmed you will receive a welcome letter which will include a helpful guide on what to pack.

What is included during my stay?

Please see the individual retreat programs for full details, all supplements are clearly indicated - there is no misleading small print.

What is not included in my retreat package?

Flights, travel and medical insurance, additional treatments, private one-to-one life coaching sessions, additonal nights at the retreat, additional meals etc are not included in the cost of the retreat.

What does a typical day offer?

Each program has its own individual itinerary, please see the individual retreat program for full details.


Is there a minimum stay?

Beyond Retreat has a minimum 7-noght stay. If longer duration is required please contact us.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Saturday is arrival day/check-in is from 16:00 onwards. Check-out is the following Saturday at 12:00 noon.

Is there mobile connectivity and wifi available?

Yes. All our venues have wifi available.

I want to book a shared room, how are the rooms allocated?

We offer rooms on a shared or single basis, so you are free to choose whether to have your own space or share. If you are travelling on your own and would like to share a room, we will aim to match you with someone of similar age where possible.

What is the cuisine like?

The cuisine is vegetarian/vegan based. We believe in using local, seasonal, fresh and organic produce as much as possible, and we do not use refined flours, grains, oils or sugar.

What if I have a food intolerance?

We try to cater for all dietary requirements and kindly request that guests with food allergies inform us of these restrictions when completing the reservation form.


How do I make a reservation?

Reserving your retreat is easy and takes a couple of minutes. You can make a reservation on our reservation page. We operate a waiting list for our sold out retreats, so in the event your chosen program is fully booked you have the iption of being added to our waiting list.

What if I can't arrive on Saturday, can I still join the retreat?

Yes, you can. Your room is booked for the whole weeks, so regardless of when you arrive you will still need to pay for the whole week. Please note, that there may be an extra charge incurred if you require a transfer on any other days other than the scheduled (Saturday) transfer day.

Do you offer airport transfer to guests?

Yes. This is a complimentary service which is available on arrival and departure.

How ong is the transfer from the airport to the retreat?

Faro Airport to the retreat is approximately 45 minutes

How long will I need to wait for my transfer?

Our driver will be waiting to collect you after you have landed. If you are on a shared scheduled transfer, depending on the flight arrival time of other guests, you may need to wait roughly 30-45 minutes for the transfer to leave.

How can I pay?

We accept debit/credit card payments and BAC's transfers. We do not accept American Express.

Do I need to pay the full amount for the retreat immediately?

No. You can either pay a non-refundable deposit of £250 to reserve your place, then pay nothing more until the full balance is due 8 weeks before your departure date. Or, choose our 0% finance payment plan and pay a non-refundable deposit of £99 to reserve your place - the remaining balance will be divided into equal payments each month with the final payment being made 8 weeks prior to departure.

Are flights included?

No. You will need to source and purchase your flights seprately. Our guests come from all over the world so it is not possible to create one affordable fixed price. Furthermore, many of our guests prefer to arrange their own travel due to individual airline preferences.

Is travel insurance included?

No. We strongly advise that all guests take out adequate travel insurance in case of unavoidable emergencies that may result in cancellation of their stay.

If I wish to cancel my booking, can I get a refund?

Are the retreat programmes intense?

Our programs are designed to achieve a goal, whether that be personal development, weight loss, improved fitness, a rebalaced body and mind or a cleansed digestive system. Our instructors accommodate mixed levels of experience and fitness so that you can work at your own pace yet they will encourage you to go beyond your comfort zone. This is one of the reasons why we keep our groups small so that we can offer individual and personal attention to each and every person. Whilst we are here to encourage, motivate and support our guests to achieve the results they want, we also want them to have fun and enjoy themselves. If you are unsure as to whether a particular retreat program is suitable for you, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be delighted to answer any questions you may have.

Do I have to take part in all of the activities at the retreat?

All of our retreat programmes have been carefully designed and structured to provide optimum results. Whilst activities, classes and workships are optional, we would encourage you to participate in all of them to ensure you gain maximum benefit. Beyond Retreat is not a boot camp, this is your retreat and you will never be forced to do anything you do not want to do.

Can I book days to go sightseeing and shipping?

Some guests prefer to immerse themselves in the mind-body-soul experience whilst others prefer to explore and experience the outdoors. For this reason, we organise planned excursions during the week so that guests wishing to explore have the opportunity to do so. Should guest require further time outside of the planned excursion days we can arrange a transfer however, this is at an additional cost which will be advised at the time.

Will I need to bring extra money?

All the activities highlighted on the retreat program are included in the price, however, you will have free time, therefore, it is advisable that you have additional funds to cover any shopping you wish to do or any additional treatments.
